If you've struggled to lose inches and weight, even through dieting and exercising, body contouring may be your answer.
While many people may be consistent with going to the gym and eating healthily, there can still be weight and pockets of fat that just do not want to fall off no matter what. This has to do with the number of alpha receptors that slow down lipolysis, which are common in the stomach area, making it harder to get rid of. Fat cells contain 2 different types of receptors, which are the alpha receptors and beta receptors. Alpha receptors slow lipolysis down, while beta receptors trigger the break down of fat. When you start a weight loss program, you'll find that the majority of the weight falls off everywhere else before it falls off in the midsection area because of the alpha receptors, which is the area most women are concerned with.
We commonly see fad diets and weight loss pills that almost guarantee results, only for some of us to find ourselves stuck at square 1 with no results and wasted time and money. This makes it hard to stay positive and consistent with work outs and healthy foods alone.
A sedentary lifestyle makes it hard for someone to lose the excess belly weight, especially if they are eating the wrong foods to begin with, and if you don't have time for exercise, you can forget about saying goodbye to belly fat.
But here is where body contouring comes in.
Body contouring is what differentiates dieting and exercising, because diet and exercise target your weight. Body contouring focuses on fat loss and inch loss and overall reshaping of the body to produce a slimmer, more contoured appearance.
When we say body contouring, we are talking nonsurgical treatments that have no downtime, no pain and no incisions. These treatments specifically target subcutaneous fat, tighten the skin, and sculpt the body to create the shape we've always wanted.
What are some of the treatments?
At A Body Vibe we use several different treatments, but we also use the most holistic modality there is to sculpt the body, and one that dates back centuries and originated in Asia, but is now commonly referred to as maderoterapia, or wood therapy.
Wood therapy is meant to stimulate the lymphatic system to help tighten the skin, break down fat, reduce cellulite, and sculpt the body so we are creating more curves, and less fat. It also helps to eliminate toxins and improve circulation. We also use ultrasonic cavitation, which is a treatment used for fat loss, and can help get rid of fat by as much as up to 24% each session. If you're looking to tighten the skin, radio frequency is a very popular and trending treatment, used often by the Kardashians, to help with the production of collagen and elastin. Laser lipo, also known as low-level light therapy is another commonly used nonsurgical treatment that uses "cold lasers" to help both tighten the skin and break down fat, depending on the strength of the diodes used.
Each individual will need approximately between 6-12 sessions of body contouring, depending on their goals. Results are typically seen after the first session, but will vary from person to person. Some may not see a difference until the third session.
Your body will continue to break down fat for several months after the last treatment. This is why the winter time is a good idea to start your treatments, so that your body will continue to expel the toxins and fluids well into the spring and summer.
Maintenance is recommended, (usually once or twice a month), to keep everything sculpted, firm and tight, along with healthy lifestyle habits. Remember, body contouring treatments are not a substitute for diet and exercise, but compliments healthy living and eating and can yield amazing results when used altogether.
So if you've been struggling to get rid of stubborn fat, and have exhausted all other options, body contouring treatments may just be the thing that helps you get over the plateau that you've been stuck in.
Without going under the knife, you can achieve great sculpting results and create the body and shape you've always wanted but never thought possible.
