Pumpkin Benefits For The Skin

Updated: Oct 9, 2022

Pumpkin Benefits for Skin

It's spoooky season y'all! It is officially my favorite time of year, as the next few months lead right up to the holidays, which means quality time spent with family and appreciating what we have.

Before I go any further, I wanted to make a quick mention about Hurricane Ian, and send some love and light to all those who were affected by it. As someone who was born and raised in Florida, and grew up in Naples, I am so deeply saddened by the devastation it has caused so many people and the areas surrounding it. I am still in absolute disbelief at the wreck and havoc it has caused, and my heart goes out to all those who suffered a loss during this tragic event. I'm keeping all of you in my prayers during this time.

When fall rolls around, pumpkin spice everything is in full effect. I love a good PSL as much as the next person, but I also love pumpkin because of the amazing benefits it has for the skin and body. This is also when we can roll out our pumpkin facials and body wraps and include it in our body contouring treatments, and provide some powerful nutrients and extra nourishment to the skin.

While we can't drink a pumpkin spice latte every day for the superb pumpkin benefits (or can we?!), we can always apply it to our skin and soak in all it's orange goody-ness!

With the cooler months and the Halloween party bashes coming up, we could use some pumpkin to help plump up the pores for post recovery and some R&R. Once fall hits, you can literally find pumpkin everywhere and in everything, so it makes sense to take full advantage of the season.

So what about pumpkin is so beneficial for the skin?

Well, for starters, pumpkin has the highest content of naturally occurring vitamin A (retinol), salicylic acid, and beta carotene, all of which help to minimize scars, regenerate skin cells and decrease wrinkles and dark spots. It also contains alpha hydroxy acids, which leads to a radiant glowing complexion.

Here are 5 benefits of pumpkin face masks:

  • Infuses the skin with bioflavonoids that aid in the absorption of skin-friendly vitamins

  • Stimulates the production of collagen, thereby reducing the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles

  • Provides antioxidant benefits

  • Delivers beta carotene, amino acids and fruit enzymes to the skin

  • Deeply hydrates and plumps up the skin

Through pumpkin face masks and body wraps, we are able to strengthen collagen and smooth out the skin. Pumpkin can also help balance sebum production, which leads to a decrease in acne. There really isn't much pumpkin can't do to help out the skin. Which is why we offer pumpkin in a few of our treatments during the fall season.

We are currently offering our Pumpkin Orange Enzyme Facial, and our Pumpkin Spice Body Wrap. Both treatments have amazing benefits for the skin, and can be booked anytime through our booking site at: vagaro.com/abodyvibe/services

Our Pumpkin Orange Enzyme Facial is a 60 minute facial treatment, packed with vitamins A and C, and will exfoliate and reduce oil while breathing in the wonderful scent of all things fall. It is a 15% pumpkin enzyme that will dissolve dead skin and provide a healthy glow. It is then followed by an Autumn Spice Hydrating Mask, which includes nutmeg to soothe inflammation, and mangosteen, honeysuckle and passionflower for anti-aging benefits. It is suitable for those with a normal/combination skin type.

Our Pumpkin Spice Body Wrap is a 90 minute treatment in total, and starts with a brown sugar caramel scrub to exfoliate and soften the skin. We then apply the pumpkin body mask and let it sit for about 15 minutes before applying a moisturizing body butter to lock in moisture and hydration.

The Pumpkin Spice Body Wrap includes superstar ingredients, such as vitamin E & C, organic bilberry fruit and cranberry fruit extracts, and sunflower and meadowfoam seed oils. This mask helps to brighten dull skin, provides antioxidants, and plumps up the skin with it's collagen-producing properties.

So if you're in the Tampa Bay Area and want to indulge in some fall-esque traditions, make this a new one and book your pumpkin treatment today at our booking site to get scheduled.

Your skin will thank you for it, we promise.
